11th July 2025 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: light airs Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny and hot :( Max Speed: Distance Covered: Friday 11th July - walks **** – Around Felixstowe – sunny and hot. The heatwave continues and set for several more days, way too hot for us but at least there is a bit of a breeze right on the coast! Friday being a Maeva day I decided to drive down to Felixstowe Ferry before 7 this morning as the wind was light and I was hoping for some reflections of boats on the Deben! Once again I got a few nice shots to send to the TV weather but had no luck, I am definitely out of favour at the BBC :( Home for a cuppa and sort out my pics, had time to do my exercises before Mag drove round to pick Maeva up, she was in top form, absolutely full of fun and giggles ! We had fun with the usual bowl of water, the push along duck and cars down a slope. Being so hot we decided to have dinner at home indoors in the shade before walking through the town centre, Granndad being a soft touch bought three nice books including Bluey and Peppa Pig which Mag actually read on the beach! We were pleased to get away from the stifling town and it was much better on the prom with a gentle breeze blowing onshore and we found a nice spot on the beach where I had a paddle with Maeva, we love our time on the beach with her:) Maeva then walked all the way home where we had a welcome cuppa before Mag takes her home! There might be enough breeze for a foil tomorrow afternoon, fingers crossed! Another top Friday:) Photo Album here |
